EM -technology

Nordic Mining has a technology license agreement with Rocksoure ASA.

The technology license agreement grants us a perpetual global license to all EM- and reservoir management technology, owned or licensed by Rocksource within the mining industry.

EM -Technology in the mining industry
The concept of EM surveys

The technology consists of various software, tools, algorithms, copyright rights, patent rights (including patent applications), industrial rights, domain names, research and development information, inventions, know-how, procedures, techniques, technical data, trade secrets and other technology and trade secret rights. Rocksource has through cooperation with CIPR and University of Bergen(Unifob) successfully developed the EM technology for interpretation of EM data for identification of hydrocarbons.

The EM technology principle have been utilized for decades within the traditional mining industry. Primarily this use has been related to data acquisition over larger areas, resulting in superficial resource indications derived from resistivity variations. The mining industry is today mainly dependant of drilling of exploration boreholes both for localisation and further definition of the deposit. The next years development of the EM interpretation technology may result in increased use of the technology for precise identification of reservoir based mineral and metal resources.
